A-Level(General Certificate of Education Advanced Level)，英國高中課程，是英國全民課程體系，是英國普通中等教育證書考試高級水平課程，也是英國學生的大學入學考試課程，迄今已近70年歷史，是歷史最悠久的國際課程。

不少家長和學生認為，A-Level課程更傾向于申請英聯(lián)邦國家的大學，這實際上是一個誤區(qū)。

在英美加澳等熱門留學國家中，只有英國有自己完善的、嚴謹?shù)臉藴驶袑W課程和考評體系，系統(tǒng)性的優(yōu)勢讓A-level的考試成績受到全球絕大多數(shù)國家的認可，并成為錄取的重要標準之一。全世界有160多個國家約11,000所大學認可A-Level課程體系。

A-Level與IB比：

A-Level沒有必修課，而IB有必修的課程群，課程群文理兼顧，不適合偏科的孩子。

A-level與AP比：

A-Level既是高中課程又是大學預科課程，且可以轉換美國、加拿大、香港等大學的學分。

而AP是美國大學先修課程，不是高中學歷課程，學AP需要額外進行高中學習。A-Level是完整的課程體系，而AP實際上只是一個考試，從這個角度來講，AP甚至沒有可比性。

2018年英國私立學校A-Level成績排名要點：

? 參考了325所ISC學校的75,470名考生；

? 覆蓋了A-level、IB、Cambridge Pre-U考試成績。IB成績與Pre-U轉化成了A-level同等成績；

? 上榜的學校都至少提供了25名考生的成績，也有的學校不會對外公開成績，所以也就不會出現(xiàn)在榜單上；

? 根據(jù)ISC（英國獨立學校委員會）的數(shù)據(jù)，私立學校拿到三個A*的學生占7.4%，拿到一個A*的學生占17.7%，47%的學生拿到一個A*或A（全國平均水平只有26.4%）；

? 私立學校拿到A*/A的機會遠遠超出英國的平均水平；

? 能上榜的學校都是英國不錯的私校，門檻不低，壓力也不小，選擇要慎重
