Environmental Studies combines natural and social sciences to better understand the human relationship with the natural environment.

You'll focus on applied issues such as sustainability in the management of land and water, the formulation of environmental policy, and how to ensure a healthy future for humans and nature.

Program Highlights

First-year Environmental Studies courses combine classroom learning with hands-on tutorials, so that you get the opportunity to discuss and analyze real-world environmental challenges in small group settings.

Upper-year students participate in field study courses, where they can design and carry out original research projects in places such as provincial parks, cities and northern Canada.

You’ll have opportunities to develop real applied skills, including use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), highly desired by employers.
