Programme Aims and Features

Design+ is designed to generate highly effective, adaptive, and creative graduates who can lead across multiple disciplinary subjects, and will become known globally for their distinctive qualities of creativity, analytical ability, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving.

Career Prospects

Cutting across tradition disciplinary boundaries, the program is structured around design thinking as a distinct foundational approach to interdisciplinary studies, innovation, and enterprise. The degree prepares students to be innovators and creative leaders, entraining students who want to capitalise on both entrepreneurial and creative abilities. Students will exit the program with a comprehensive understanding of design thinking methods and processes, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams to innovate and achieve original and commercially, environmentally and socially relevant solutions to complex problems. Design+ graduates are distinctive in both general graduate job markets and in specialized industries. Their ability to assemble and assimilate knowledge from across disciplines and synthesize it into an actionable plans gives them a distinct professional advantage.

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education/HKCEE/HKALE or equivalent. English Language Requirement: IELTS - An overall band of 6.5 in IELTS Academic Module; TOEFL - A score of 93 in the TOEFL internet-based test, or an overall score of 70 in the revised TOEFL Paper-delivered Test; Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English / Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English - Level C1 or an overall score of 180 in Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English; or Grade C or an overall score of 180 in Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English. Grade C in English Language at GCSE/GCEO.
