As a qualified student in this dual degree program, you will take core coursework in both the College of Business and Information Technology’s MBA program and in the College of Engineering’s Engineering Management program. After completing coursework in both, you will be awarded two master’s degrees.

This dual degree program requires an undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or technology from an accredited university. You will begin by taking coursework in the master’s program designated as your primary degree. After completing coursework in the primary degree program, you will be awarded your first diploma. The second diploma will be awarded after completing coursework in your secondary degree program.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Engineering Management, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or technology from an accredited university is required.

CURRICULUM

This program is structured for individuals who have backgrounds in information technology. It can be customized for a student's educational background and their career goals. Student's will begin taking course work in the program designated as their primary degree. Students enrolled in this program will receive two master's degrees, one in their field of expertise and one in business administration. A brief overview of curriculum taught in each course can be found in the online Course Descriptions catalog or by clicking on individual course items. To complete the MBA/MSIT dual degree, a student must satisfy the minimum requirement of 51 credit hours. Program prerequisite courses cannot be applied toward the minimum requirement.

Classes ending in "1T" are 1.5 credit hours and are available online in rotating semesters and are completed in 8 weeks.
